It is reported that the last Witch burned in Scotland Was Janet Horne in 1727 in the village of Dornoch. It is expected that her real name Was undocumented since “Jenny Horne” Was the generic name given to a Witch across the North east Highlands in those days. Like all the persecutions “Jenny” and her treatment and execution Was particularly unjustified, sad and brutal. A simple stone marks the place of her passing to this day. The piece is my tribute to all the lives lost in the Scottish Witch trials. We are all in part “Jenny Horne” and We all stand strong in the memory of our ancestry.
